Prof. Dr. Javier Poncela
Prof. Dr. Javier Poncela is Associate professor at E.T.S.I Telecommunication, University of Malaga (UMA), campus de teatinos, Spain. He is also coordinator of Master Program at Telecommunication Institute of Malaga, Spain. He joined UMA in 1995 and has been working there since 19 years. Dr Poncela received the M.sc. degree in telecommunication engineering from Universidad de Malaga e polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain in 1994 and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Malaga, Spain. He worked in Alcatel Spacio before joining the University of Malaga at the communication Engineering Department. He has actively collaborated with multinational companies (Nokia, AT4wireless) on formal modeling and system testing in Bluetooth, UNTS and satellite systems. His actual research interests include methodologies for efficient development of complex communication systems, analysis of end-to-end QoS over heterogeneous networks and systems and models for the evaluation of QoE. His Journal and Conference publications, keynote speaker sessions cross the score of more than 50. He is also one the guest editor of International Springer Impact factor Journal on Wireless Personal Communication.
